Grants and Writing Resources for Everglades University
Two Everglades students, one representing the Boca Raton campus and one representing Miami, received 2025 scholarships from the Construction Association of South Florida at the association's 75th annual recognition dinner. President Kristi Mollis presented the awards, which honored the pair for academic achievement and dedication to the construction industry.
Scholarships That Ask for an Essay
The CASF construction scholarship began in 2021 as a permanent award at Everglades, funded by a $60,000 CASF Foundation gift. An October 2026 university release reports that the foundation added $180,000, bringing its total gift to $240,000. The awards go to juniors and seniors in construction management who submit an essay on their plans for a construction career in South Florida.
The university's scholarship list includes the Everglades University Academic Scholarship, the Financial Scholarship and the Graduate Scholarship. Each is non-renewable and applied toward unmet need. A student can hold only one EU scholarship in a given academic year, and the Financial Aid Department handles applications.
Capstones and the Graduate School
Several bachelor's majors close with a three-credit capstone course. The 2026-2027 catalog lists GEB 4999 for business administration, BCN 4709 for construction management and PAD 4878 for crisis and disaster management.
Master's students now study under a Graduate School that opened on February 2, 2026, at the Boca Raton main campus. The university offers nine graduate majors, each online and on campus. The 36-credit Master's Degree in Coastal and Marine Management ends with EVR 6466, the Graduate Coastal and Marine Management Capstone Course. Its curriculum centers on applied coursework and a comprehensive capstone project.
Tutoring and Library Research
Everglades students get free 24/7 online tutoring through Tutor.com, which returns essay and research-paper reviews in under 24 hours. The Academic Department also tutors, and every student meets an assigned academic advisor each semester, according to Student Services.
Each of the five campus libraries and the online library has a professional librarian. Ask-a-Librarian offers live chat, text and 24-hour email support. Databases include ProQuest and Credo Reference through LIRN, EBSCOhost's Business Source Elite and MEDLINE, and the Homeland Security Digital Library.
