Students and faculty deserve a clear account of how we use artificial intelligence. Here it is.

Our PhD-level editors work with a custom in-house style tool, developed with Anthropic and over 25 years of editorial experience, like those used by major academic and commercial publishing houses. It draws on the editing tools and house-style rules we've refined since our founding. Like a press house style, it applies objective rules with precision: grammar, mechanics, punctuation, consistency, and citation format, checked uniformly across every page of your document. Our Editors Make Every Decision

The tool makes no independent decisions. It brings questions of correctness to the editor's attention, and the editor decides. Every change in your document is reviewed, selected, and approved by a human editor, who takes full responsibility for the final draft. Where a choice calls for judgment about clarity, emphasis, or voice, that judgment belongs to the editor and, finally, to you.

We return every edit in Track Changes, so you see each revision and decide whether to accept it. Our work stays at the level of the sentence. Your ideas, your research, your argument, and your voice remain yours.

Our editing tool operates as a closed-loop system that doesn't share your data. Your documents and intellectual property are never used to train AI. Your manuscript is read, edited, and returned for one purpose: preparing your final draft. Your words, your data, and your findings remain your property from the moment you upload them.
