Grants and Writing Resources for Gannon University
In April 2026 a sophomore and a junior from Gannon's women's swimming team were among four Golden Knights named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. The honor requires a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and either competing in 90 percent of the team's games or starting in at least 66 percent of its contests, and it put both swimmers on the ballot for Academic All-America.
Where Students Present
Celebrate Gannon is the university's annual showcase of academic work by undergraduate and graduate students, held in late April. The 2026 edition ran on April 24.
Writing for The Gannon Knight
Students have reported campus news in The Gannon Knight since 1947. Its fall 2026 coverage includes a September report on research labs planned for the fourth floor of the I-Hack building. The $6.5 million project centers on medical research, with a lab for cancer research, and the labs are set to open in 2027.

Graduate assistants receive tuition remission and a stipend for up to 10 hours of work a week. Applications go through PeopleAdmin. Appointments last one year, and assistants reapply to be considered for another.
