Grants and Writing Resources for King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi

An interior architecture student at KMUTT's School of Architecture and Design won first place in the TIDA Outstanding Thesis Awards 2025 for "Inheritance | Reviving Roots, Reuniting Generations." A classmate took second runner-up in the same competition, and KMUTT reported both results in May 2026. Engineering students also took first runner-up in the national round of the Hak Mae Hackathon in 2026. The university gave that team its Jiaranai Petchara Scholarship.

Fellowships and Graduate Awards

KMUTT's own graduate scholarships carry the Petchra Pra Jom Klao name. The Petchra Pra Jom Klao Ph.D. Research Scholarship pays tuition and 18,000 THB a month in living expenses. It also covers research expenses and the cost of research abroad, airfare and health insurance included. The Petchra Pra Jom Klao Master's Degree Scholarship pays tuition and 8,000 THB a month.

Awards for Student Achievement

Students with exceptional academic potential and specialized abilities can receive the Jiaranai Petchara Scholarship, open at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. One track supports students developing ideas for competitions; the other recognizes students who bring respect and recognition to the university. KMUTT gave it to the 2026 hackathon team. Thesis work also earns prizes outside the university: in 2025 KMUTT reported an architecture student placing third in the Central Region of TOY ARCH 2024 and an interior architecture student placing third in the TIDA Thesis Awards 2024.

Theses and Library Tools

Master's and doctoral theses go into the KMUTT Repository. Its KMUTT e-Thesis collection lists graduate theses by faculty and school. Graduation projects are kept too, readable only on the KMUTT network. The library's Tools page lists EndNote, along with a KMUTT citation style. It also lists Turnitin, with a request form that librarians answer by email.
