Grants and Writing Resources for Rollins College

A biology and environmental studies double major in the class of 2026 won a 2026-27 Fulbright Study/Research Award to pursue a master's in biodiversity at National Taiwan University, where she'll study environmental contamination through water sampling and fish-based ecosystem research. Her award followed a February 2026 announcement that the State Department had named Rollins a top producer of Fulbright students for the 13th time.

Research With Faculty

The Collaborative Research Fellowship Program pairs undergraduates with faculty on original research, and every selected project is fully funded with summer housing and a living stipend. The college also pays for fellows to present at conferences. Nearly 20 percent of projects end in publication, and about 70 percent of participants go on to graduate school.

Projects from summer 2026 ranged from physics students observing angular light scattering that could help diagnose Alzheimer's disease early to two art history students who spent eight weeks researching 154 works added to the Alfond Collection since 2018, for an exhibition planned at The Alfond Inn. Annual reports and co-authored papers from the program are kept in Student-Faculty Collaborative Research on Rollins Scholarship Online.

Scholarships Abroad

Five students earned Gilman Scholarships in 2026 for study in Greece, France, Hong Kong and a program spanning Vienna, Budapest and Belgrade. One of them also received the Gilman-McCain Scholarship for military families.

Honors and Graduate Theses

Rollins Scholarship Online publishes Honors Program theses and Honors in the Major theses from departments including English, history, psychology and chemistry. Graduate work sits there too, from Master of Liberal Studies theses to applied behavior analysis thesis projects and Executive DBA dissertations.
